If you've ever driven some of our Forest Sevice backroads, you'll notice how they have cleared brush along the sides. This is because the brush too close to the road, makes it too risky for fire vehicle. The brush along the LLHOA road is the same. Too much brush and its too dangerous for the fire truck to proceed along LLHOA Road.
In addition, flames next to the road can prevent us from escaping during a forest fire.
