FYI,I was told verbally by Streamlight's Doug Becker,  that there is no fire danger with these Lithium Ion battery-operated E-Spot Lightboxes.

Here is an email I sent to Streamlight E-Spot with lithium Ion batteries;

Email sent to Streamlight engineering and tech support  on January 12th:

Doug and or Mark,       What assurance do we have that the lithium Ion batteries in the Litebox E-Spot will not go into thermal runaway or cause a fire?     Our small rural FD station is not continuously manned.   The trucks are not used as often as in some stations and therefore the Lithium Ion Battery will be on a charger for weeks to months at a time never being taken out of the trickle charger.    What assurance do we have that the litebox won't cause a fire in the truck where it will be installed?
Thanks
