will post information about evacuations or other large-scale emergencies but the information won’t necessarily be populated in real time. The Sheriff’s Office and the Office of Emergency Management will post information to their Facebook pages (which will be quicker than the website but can sometimes be delayed as well). For these reasons, we highly recommend everyone to sign up for emergency alerts which will be delivered directly to impacted residents in real time. Users can configure how they want to receive these alerts (Text, voice call and/or email). Aside from initial notification of the emergency, updates for re-population will also be shared in real time using this platform. Sign up for emergency alerts at Smart911
